
Kimberlee Schumacher
Interim President and CEO
Kimberlee Schumacher is a seasoned executive and consultant with over twenty years leading mission-driven organizations in various roles including interim executive director, interim chief strategy officer, and CEO. She is passionate about building strong and equitable organizations, teams, and leaders.
Kimberlee began her professional career as a management consultant, followed by eight years leading strategies and project management at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Since then, she has held various leadership roles including Vice President of Partnerships & Services at Combined Jewish Philanthropies, and CEO of a Big Brothers Big Sisters affiliate in Boston.
She brings a calming presence and collaborative leadership style to organizations facing change and transition. She has led organizations through mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds, succession planning, strategic planning, crises response, and significant fundraising growth. In addition to her own executive and board leadership roles, Kimberlee has trained and coached dozens of nonprofit CEOs and board leaders on how to build healthy organizations through strong strategy, finance, fundraising, governance and operational practices. Kimberlee has also taught numerous graduate leadership and financial management courses.
Kimberlee earned her BA from Brandeis University, MA from University of Wisconsin, and MBA from Northeastern.
A pivotal member of the Executive Committee of the EFNE Board of Directors for more than seven years, Kimberlee is a champion of the mission and team.
She is a passionate member of the epilepsy community and has been for the past 15 years, when her daughter, Isabel, first started living with epilepsy.
