Epilepsy Foundation New England is excited to announce that we now offer our services to people living with epilepsy in Vermont!

We offer a range of services that aim to help people living with epilepsy in VT. This includes support groups, family and community education conferences, online workshops, camp for kids, Emergency Financial Assistance for Clients, mentoring and resource/referral services, and more.

We are committed to providing help for today and hope for tomorrow to the 7,000 people living with epilepsy in VT. If you or someone you know is affected by epilepsy, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for support.

Regional Services

ADVOCACY

Become a voice for epilepsy - become an Epilepsy Envoy – an online multi-week empowerment training program. Folks interested in advocacy should visit here. Our Seizure Safe Schools Bill is under consideration by the VT legislature as of today.

1:1 CLIENT SUPPORT

Whether it be a brief Q&A or an ongoing 1:1 relationship, support is available. We inform patients about the services available through Managing Epilepsy Well. In addition, we have a small pot of funds to help with emergencies such as preventing eviction, filling in copay gaps, etc. as a part of the Emergency Financial Assistance program.

GROUPS

Offering 35 groups per month. Something for everyone to meet interests, epilepsy trajectory, and availability. We prefer to learn more about clients to place you in the right group. We pay a great deal of attention to group dynamics.

We offer camp for kids, online groups, and empower our youth through the Young Leader's Network. Our Camps include something for everyone – sailing, riding, sleepaways, family camps, and more.

EDUCATION

In addition to our online Knowledge Center, we offer Seizure First Aid certification monthly, workshops, conferences, and more. In addition, we offer an educational program for preK-grade 3 called My Friend Matty consisting of age-appropriate curriculum and book.
