Epilepsy Resource Rooms
Help is Only a Resource Room Away
Epilepsy Research Rooms have been set-up at hospitals and medicals centers throughout Massachusetts & New Hampshire to offer active listening while providing community resources, individualized support, education, and services to help people manage their epilepsy and challenges related to epilepsy. Support is free and open to anyone living with epilepsy and caregivers for people living with epilepsy. Services are provided to children, youth, and adults. Some Resource Rooms may be temporarily remote via Zoom or phone.
Epilepsy resource rooms are staffed by AmeriCorps members. AmeriCorps brings people together to serve communities. AmeriCorps members serve directly with organizations and nonprofts to tackle our nation’s most pressing challenges.

A Sense of Community:
Epilepsy Foundation New England offers a variety of support groups for adults, youth, and parents of children with epilepsy. We connect people and families living with epilepsy to peers in the EFNE community. EFNE provides ongoing support including support group meeting reminders and mentoring through EFNE youth programming.

Epilepsy Education:
We help people find educational resources that are trustworthy to better understand their epilepsy. In addition, we provide school and workplace education programs.

Services for Those Living with Epilepsy:
Epilepsy Foundation New England provides information and referral to transportation, housing, food and other local community and state social services. We connect people with the EFNE Programs, Camps, Emergency Aid, and self-management programs. In addition, we connect people to community employment, wellness, and respite services.
