Leadership Update from Epilepsy Foundation New England
After nine years of dedicated service at the Epilepsy Foundation of New England (EFNE), Susan Linn decided to leave her role as President and CEO. Her last day was Friday, May 23rd. Susan’s commitment to our mission has left a lasting mark on our organization and community. We are grateful for Susan’s contributions and leadership and wish her and her family all the best in this next chapter.
Kimberlee Schumacher Joins EFNE as Interim President and CEO
Kimberlee Schumacher joined EFNE as Interim President and CEO starting Wednesday, May 28, to support the staff, ensure continuity of operations, and lead the organization during the leadership transition.
Kimberlee has been a pivotal member of the Executive Committee of the EFNE Board of
Directors for more than seven years and is a champion of the mission and team. She has more than 20 years of experience leading nonprofits, both as a CEO and as an interim CEO/executive director and has provided interim executive leadership for five nonprofit organizations over the past several years. Past executive roles include CEO of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, Vice President of Partnerships & Services for Combined Jewish Philanthropies, and Director of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Kimberlee has also taught numerous graduate leadership and financial management courses. She earned her BA from Brandeis University, MA from University of Wisconsin, and MBA from Northeastern.
Kimberlee is a passionate member of the epilepsy community and has been for the past 15 years, when her daughter, Isabel, first started living with epilepsy.
