Mike Brennan will be running the 2023 Boston Marathon in support of the Epilepsy Foundation of New England. In May of 2020 Mike started to notice his daughter, Molly, would occasionally stare into space. The episodes started to increase and while she was staring off she would be completely unresponsive.

Mike and his wife decided to dig deeper and discovered that she might be having absence seizures, a form of epilepsy. She had a regular checkup a week later, and while we were there she had a seizure. Shortly after her diagnosis, the Brennans contacted EFNE. They received the resources and support they needed. Molly has been fortunate to meet other kids through the foundation with the same diagnosis.

Mike was able to secure a 2023 Boston Marathon bib through John Hancock Vitality, he hopes to use this opportunity to raise awareness of epilepsy and highlight EFNE.
