My name is Kaitlyn Currie, and I am a Community Health Worker serving with the Epilepsy Foundation of New England from my hometown of Portland, Maine. I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Maine Orono and I am taking this year to dedicate my time to advocate for the epilepsy community before returning to grad school. Although I do not personally have a connection to epilepsy, I have multiple chronic illnesses that have given me the desire to advocate for others who are also trying to navigate their own chronic illness journey. In my free time I enjoy going on long walks, painting, writing, and spending time with loved ones.
