My name is Elsa Gomez; I am an AmeriCorps Community Health Worker serving the Epilepsy Foundation of New England. I serve the Epilepsy Foundation of CT. I was drawn to the foundation due to my passion for helping vulnerable people in our society. I had the opportunity to volunteer helping low income and disabled people in my community. Those experiences along with my knowledge in disability study, strengthened my vocation in helping people with disabilities. I am very proud and humble of being part of this foundation whose clear commitment is to improve the quality of lives of those living with epilepsy. After my year of service, I will continue helping those affected by epilepsy and their families.
