*UPDATE* Maine Seizure Safe Schools

Dear Maine EFNE Community,

IT’S CRUNCH TIME!

Our Seizure Safe Schools legislation  “A Resolve Directing the Department of Education to Communicate to School Administrative Units and Private Schools the Importance of Adopting Seizure Action Plans." ( LD 211/HP 134) is on Governor Mills’s desk pending her signature. We need our entire Maine community to voice your support today for this legislation to ensure it becomes law!

Please take a moment to use this link to contact Governor Mills and ask her to sign this critical legislation into law!  In the message box, your ask can be as simple as :

“On behalf of the more than 14, 000 people living with epilepsy in Maine, I am writing to urge you to sign LD 211 into law.”

Even better is if you share a bit about your connection with epilepsy and why this bill is important to you.

Our thanks to Representative Amy Kuhn for championing this cause .  And to the EFNE Maine community – particularly Abby Werthmann, Rachel Robbins, Kate Phillips, Kristine Binette, and Kevin Hooper – who have worked so hard on this legislation to get it to this critical juncture. Together, let’s get this over the finish line!

Please contact Kristen Gordon (@email) if you have any questions or need help with your message.

Thanks!

EFNE Advocacy
