Seizure Training for School Personnel
Join us for the next 80 minutes as we learn how to better understand and support students with epilepsy in the school environment. This training is designed for teachers, school nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, one-to-one aides, bus drivers, and anyone else who works with students in a school setting. Together, we will cover the seizure types most commonly seen in the school environment, how to recognize and respond to a seizure, and when a seizure may be a medical emergency. We will also understand how epilepsy can impact a student both academically and emotionally and what we can do to best support them. Get comfortable, grab a cozy blanket and a cup of tea, coffee, or water, and join me as we learn together!
