Esme joined Epilepsy Foundation New England in 2022 as an AmeriCorps Member. In 2026, she became a full-time staff member and has received licensure as a Certified Community Health Worker in Massachusetts. She brings a steady, comforting presence to her role as a CHW, creating judgment-free spaces where individuals living with epilepsy and their families feel unconditionally supported and heard. By blending patient grace with advocacy, Esme meets community members exactly where they are to ensure everyone has a safe, compassionate path to wellness and vital resources.
Esme experienced her own health struggles, having a seizure a year after surgery, and eventually connected with one of staff members at EFNE and soon realized that she was entering a community that she was already a part of. In her spare time, Esme connects with family and friends and appreciates the wonders and beauty of the White Mountains.
