Update 8/23/21: With an overwhelming response to the Sail for Epilepsy East Coast Expedition Boston event, we have met maximum capacity for our event. Registration for this event is now closed. Thank you.
Join us for an inspirational evening during Sail For Epilepsy’s East Coast Expedition, the beginning of their multi-year global voyage. We’ll celebrate the local epilepsy community and all that they can accomplish – including sailing the oceans of the world – during a sunset cruise in Boston Harbor. We’re hosting Phil Haydon, who is on a mission to inspire those living with epilepsy to live their fullest lives possible, with the necessary safety measures in place. Meet Phil, an internationally recognized neuroscientist, and hear how he isn’t letting epilepsy define him or what he can do. Enjoy light refreshments while connecting with area epilepsy warriors and their families, medical professionals, and scientists. Take part in family-friendly nautical activities are for all ages and abilities:
- Learn how to tie knots Phil uses while sailing
- Help make a flag that will be flown from the boat while underway
- Learn how stars are used for navigation
- Become a Virtual Shipmate – have your name added to the hull of the boat!
Following Boston's Mask Mandate (Effective August 27 at 8 AM), masks are required and social distancing is encouraged. Masks are available at the event.
