Youth Programming Specialist
Allison experienced uncontrolled epileptic seizures on a daily basis from ages 9-16 years old. During her junior year of high school, she underwent two successful brain surgeries on her temporal lobe and has since been seizure-free. The impact that Epilepsy had on her childhood school experiences combined with her passion for mental health inspired her to choose a career in School Psychology while additionally giving back to our community through Epilepsy Foundation New England. Alison is in her second year of graduate school to become a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and she facilitates monthly Young Leaders Network meetings in the regions of Central/Western MA. She is passionate about increasing community awareness and education about epilepsy while also fostering healthy coping strategies in youth through fun, expressive art and self-reflective activities.
