My name is Julia Sarrasin and I’m a Community Health Worker with AmeriCorps. I am based in Burlington, Vermont at UVM Medical Center. I’m currently a senior at UVM majoring in Health & Society, and I am working on my accelerated Masters of Public Health. I was drawn to the Foundation because of their mission of “Help For Today, Hope For Tomorrow.” I have always been interested in advocating for underserved populations and love working directly with people to best understand how to sustainability improve their quality of life. I hope to apply these same public health passions to one day work in the social epidemiology field. When I’m not serving with EFNE, I love to be outdoors in any way I can, I enjoy exploring Vermont’s beautiful nature during all of the seasons.
