Evangeline is an AmeriCorps member serving the Epilepsy Foundation of New England, working as a Pediatric Resource Room Coordinator at Boston Medical Center. She is a recent graduate of Connecticut College, where she received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and minored in Gender, Sexuality, and Intersectionality Studies. Additionally, she was a scholar under the Holleran Center for Community Action and Public Policy, with an area of interest in providing culturally-competent and strengths-based care to children who have experienced trauma, and centering love and compassion in the provision of social work and youth services. As an aspiring social worker, she is passionate about work rooted in social justice that empowers and strengthens communities and honors the unique identities, voices, and talents that children possess. In her free time, Evangeline enjoys hiking, taking care of all sorts of animals, reading, creating artwork, playing guitar, finding new vegetarian recipes to (attempt to) cook, and connecting with the beautiful community of friends, family, and people all around her.
